The workmanship and attention to detail that you displayed on a daily basis was very impressive. We also appreciated the fact that this project was done in a very neat manner, and at the end of each workday we were able to use our own front room. I contacted Fireplaces Plus on Wed about my Heatilator Model ND3630I gas fireplace that had a flame that would work for a moment and then flicker down and off.  Fireplaces Plus took the time to help me understand how the fireplace worked, troubleshoot the likely problem and sent me a new modulator right out in UPS that day so I would have it today.  I just finished installing the modulator, adjusting the pilot electrode and viola! I have a beautiful steady flame.  I cleaned the glass and screen and put everything back together and I am smiling ear to ear because of the outstanding service I received from Fireplaces Plus.  Thank you very much for the excellent help.  I have HEAT again and I’m a happy camper!

I wanted to thank you for discovering the venting problem with my fireplace. As a result of your professional opinion I contacted my licensed contractor and discussed the situation with him. He agreed with your findings and reworked my fireplace to allow for correct drafting of the flame. Without your help I would have wasted my investment of the purchasing the highest quality RH Peterson log set from your company.

After eleven months of construction, our house renovation has finally completed. During this long construction period, I dealt with many workers, trade people sub-contractors, etc., but unfortunately many of them were sloppy and had no pride in their job nor the craftsmanship.

I am writing this letter to tell you how happy and satisfied I was dealing with the members at your establishment. The first time we visited your store, you greeted me with smile and gave us a thorough explanation of products and accessories in a professional manner. When I made a phone call, you accessed my file promptly, and responded to my questions in a friendly manner. When I made an appointment with your installer, he setup a schedule with the earliest date we desired. One rainy day, your installer was to come to fix a chase cover on the chimney. I thought he would not come as scheduled, but sure he enough he came, and completed the installation in the rain.

I would rank your organization as the best one I had dealt with during the renovation, but most of all, I am very glad to find that you have an excellent professional team with job- pride and craftsmanship.

Thank you for expeditiously rectifying the error that temporarily delayed the installation of our custom fireplace screen.
Once the problem was identified (an oversight that meant the screen was never ordered) you took immediate action to correct the error and in the process demonstrated the highest standards of ethical and moral integrity that I’ve seen in a long, long while by a professional business person.

Step by Step

  1. You admitted the error and identified the problem (rather than giving me a song and dance story and putting the blame elsewhere).
  2. You arranged with the vendor to move up the production of our screen and paid to have the order executed immediately.
  3. You assumed all costs to the have the screen shipped ‘Next Day’ by Fed Ex.
  4. Despite the full calendar and standard 3-4 week wait, you moved us to the head of the line and scheduled the installation of the screen to coincide with the Fed Ex delivery.
  5. And finally, to make amends and extend the olive branch, you sent our a FREE gift with the installer.

While I was initially angry and disappointed, my reaction was quickly tempered by your immediate and sincere efforts to rectify the wrong. You diffused a potentially volatile and hostile situation and turned it around 180°. While our order was my no means the most expensive or prestigious, your demonstration of client appreciation and efforts to keep us as satisfied as customers speaks volumes about your professionalism.

Unfortunately it was a waste of my $125 and your wood finisher’s time and effort as the black walnut stain finish was not as I had pictured it. However, I did refinish it to my satisfaction and it looks great.

You are lucky to have such a professional but personable representative for your business.
